In space, everything goes wrong, always. That doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be fun attempting to survive it. Adrift is headed for the PS4 this week as a downloadable title. A release date is set for July 15th. This could differ depending on your time zone.
ADR1FT is an immersive first-person experience that tells the story of an astronaut in peril. Floating silently amongst the wreckage of a destroyed space station with no memory and a severely damaged EVA suit, the only survivor struggles to determine the cause of the catastrophic event that took the lives of everyone on board. You fight to stay alive by exploring the wreckage for precious resources and overcomes the challenges of an unforgiving environment to repair the damaged emergency escape vehicle and safely return home.
Released on PC back in March, Adrift received positive to mixed reviews. Critics loved the beauty and isolating atmosphere, although they were not so fond of the repetitive objectives.
The PC version of Adrift is compatible with the Oculus Rift. There’s currently no word if Adrift will support the PlayStation VR. Adrift is developed by 505 Games. You can learn more about it here.
