If you had been holding off from backing Prey for the Gods on Kickstarter, awaiting the console version stretch goal to be reached, wait no longer.
No Matter Studios has announced that their action-survival game Prey for the Gods will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One if and when the base tier of funding is reached. Initially, the $600,000 stretch goal was required for console ports, but No Matter stated that they listened to the outcry from fans who were pledging substantial amounts, just for the chance that the stretch goal would be reached. They knew something needed to be done and were quickly able to get a demo up and running on a PS4.
In Prey for the Gods, you play as a lone hero sent to the edge of a dying world to discover the mystery behind the never-ending winter. Arriving with only the clothes on your back, you must survive the colossal dangers that occupy the land.
Inspired by Shadow of Colossus, Prey for the Gods launched on Kickstarter earlier this month. With fifteen days remaining, No Matter require another $30,000 to reach the $300,000 funding goal. If reached, Prey for the Gods will launch on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
