If you grew up watching American cop dramas of the 1980s than Beat Cop is the game for you. Beat Cop is a retro pixel adventure that channels the style of Miami Vice and the grit of the Dirty Harry films to situate you as former detective Jack Kelly, who’s been framed for murder and demoted to a lowly beat cop.
Jack’s been forgotten by his old pals and treated like shit by his new boss. His wife is a money sucking spawn from hell, and the local mafia wants his head on a plate. You will explore the darkest corners of Brooklyn to uncover who is responsible for ruining Jack’s life. And don’t forget about writing tickets, reprimanding pedestrians & such. You’re a beat cop after all.
Beat Cop is a non-linear story with multiple endings. It’s a point and click adventure where you turn every stone to discover who framed you. The further you investigate the more puzzles you’ll find. Be sarcastic. Be dark. Kick some ass. Be whatever you want. There are thousands of things in this world to interact with. But be careful, It’s jungle out there.
Beat Cop is developed by Pixel Crow, a small indie studio based in Warsaw Poland. Beat Cop is scheduled for release in late 2016. You can find more info at the official website.
