I’m sure you have all played Fruit Ninja by now. If not, download it on your smartphone, tablet, Xbox or locate it in an arcade, and then if you can manage to drag yourself away, come back to this article.
Everyone’s favourite fruit slicing and dicing game has been reborn through VR. Fruit Ninja VR takes the satisfying gameplay of the classic mobile game and makes it more immersive by enabling you to tackle the fruit from multiple angles while duel wielding swords. The bombs can be deflected with a flick of the wrist, while the action takes place in a dojo like-arena.
Fruit Ninja VR features all the gameplay modes of the classic game. Arcade lets you rack up massive combos while slicing as much fruit as you can in sixty seconds, while classic mode has you slicing fruit and avoiding bombs. Zen mode also returns for a simple and relaxing experience. Online leaderboards are included for you to show off your sweet ninja skills. Just like the mobile version, Fruit Ninja VR is suitable for all ages.
Fruit Ninja VR is developed by acclaimed Aussie studio Halfbrick, who previously developed Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride, and Monster Dash among others. Fruit Ninja VR is currently in Early Access where more features are promised to arrive soon.
The game currently supports the HTC Vive. You can check it out here.
