Introducing the Sausage Sports Club. A sausage-themed physics game about adorable, long-necked animals competing on a reality sports TV show. Not to be confused with Sausage Party, a film about sexual innuendo.
Sausage Sports Club is a collection of sports games with a focus on multiplayer, where up to eight players compete in a variety of events and customise their characters with the number one video game accessory: hats! There will also be AI for you to test your skills in single-player and co-op.
There are currently five game modes. Soccer and capture the flag are exactly what they sound like. Sumo sees you knocking other players onto the spikes, while in Coinz, you beat up opponents to steal their coins. In paint, each player battles to cover the arena in their designated colour. Jumping, dashing, and a Mario-style ground pound are all at your disposal. Head swinging is a unique ability for knocking around soccer balls and shoving players. Of course, you can also use your head to dance, wave, helicopter or any other gesture you can think of.
Sausage Sports Club is currently campaigning via Kickstarter where the developer Luckshot Games is seeking $15,000 to fund the game. Pledging $15 will get you a copy for PC or Mac. Or if you would rather try your luck, Luckshot Games are hosting a competition on Twitch where you can win copies of their game. The final version will include around fifteen characters and at least fifty hats. You can support the game here.
