Always good to see an old face make a comeback, and considering the developers behind it, hopefully this revival of Serious Sam will pay off.
There’s just one small catch, but it’s a good-en. Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope is, as the name suggests, a 1st person VR game by Croteam themselves. Originally announced back at E3, Sam’s return is set to be unleashed as part of the Steam Early Access program very soon. It honestly looks fantastic, as colourful and violent as the originals, but how it works as a VR game is hard to tell until players get hands on.
It’s not confirmed how much of the game will be available in early access, though Croteam have pointed out on the official Steam page that there should be enough content to please fans before the full release some time next year. There might be some bugs and crashed, but by the sounds of it the team are confident of a stable and enjoyable experience even in its early state. Only time will tell, but check out the awesome trailer below in the meantime.
