Once a research vessel, this isolated ship has morphed into a deadly trap. The Purity-02 killed the crew, and you struggle against its parasite that wreaks havoc on your body. Yet there’s an even greater danger. A beast from ancient myths prowls the shadows. You need to survive the infection and get the hell off the ship!
Phantaruk is a pant-wetting first person survival horror game set in the dark reaches of space. Gameplay involves traversing the ship, finding answers and a way out. The crew has transformed into post-human beings that you need to avoid and of course, there’s the beast. Sneak, run and hide in the shadows. Manage your toxin levels by locating antidotes and batteries will keep the flashlight running. Piece together the story through audio files and data pads that are scattered throughout the ship.
Phantaruk is developed by Polyslash and is available now on Steam where it’s received positive reviews. It’s been likened to Alien Isolation but is all about building suspense, and there are no jump scares. You can check it out here.
