Oceanhorn – The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker inspired mobile hit is getting a console port and a huge sequel. Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm will take the series from a top-down perspective to the third-person with gameplay inspired by action JRPGs. Developer Cornfox & Bros are creating a colourful world to explore with a compelling story, amazing music, puzzles, battles, and bosses.
Oceanhorn 2 will feature a vast world map that consists of fields, forests, mountains, and lakes. There’s a hub world to visit between levels, dungeons, and towns. It’s set to be a significantly larger experience than the first game. Cornfox & Bros has a philosophy of not doing the same game twice. They describe Oceanhorn 1 as a love letter for 90s classics, and Oceanhorn 2 as their take on modern action RPGs like Final Fantasy XV and Xenoblade.
There’s not a lot of information currently available and unfortunately no gameplay footage. For now, we have Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas to look forward to. The remaster of the original game sets sail on PS4 and Xbox One on September 7th.
