Hue is a game about colour. It’s a vibrant puzzle adventure where you alter the world by changing its background colour. When obstacles match the background, they disappear, solving puzzles, defeating enemies and granting access to new areas. The developer Fiddlesticks designed this mechanic to offer a new twist on the classic adventure game formula.
Hue is the name of the game’s protagonist and also one of the main properties of colour. “When Hue’s mother becomes trapped in the mono world, he gains access to the colour ring a device which allows him to alter the perception of colour. Embarking on a mission to foil the evil intentions of the despicable Doctor Gray, Hue begins a journey which will not only shape him as a person, but alter the world forever.”
Hue has been attracting a huge amount of positive feedback from showings at indie expos. The game has over a dozen awards to its name including ‘Best Game of Show’ from Casual Connect USA and ‘Most Creative Game’ at Reboot 2015. Despite the colourful art, Hue has full support for the colour-blind.
You won’t need to wait long because Hue will be available tomorrow. You can find it on PC, PS4, Xbox One and PS Vita at a later date.
