FACT: Pan-Pan is an international radio distress signal, but less urgent than a mayday signal.
Pan-Pan is a gorgeous open world adventure set against a backdrop of soothing ambient sounds where you must fix your downed spaceship and begin the pilgrimage home. The game is described as having environmental narrative storytelling with puzzle-solving and exploration elements at its core. The puzzles are difficult in that there’s no hand holding, you need to figure the strategy and the solution on your own. The ambient soundtrack and cloaked avatar are immediately reminiscent of the PlayStation gem Journey.
Pan-Pan is developed by SPELKRAFT, who are based in Stockholm. It’s published by Might and Delight who are best known for their Shelter game series. Pan-Pan looks to be the perfect calm and relaxing game to play after a long day at work and I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with it.
You can grab a copy now on Steam and the Humble Store for PC and Mac where you can also grab the soundtrack and explorers guide which looks part manual and part art book.
