If you’ve never played Journey, and at this point I really do feel sorry for you if you haven’t yet, then Sony has a little gift this September just for you in order to hide your shame.
September’s PlayStation Plus free games lineup has been announced, and headlining it is the aforementioned Journey, a winner of multiple game of the year awards back in 2012. You’ll be able to download it to your PS4 or PS3, though I’d suggest the former given the bump up in visual fidelity.
There’s a handful of other games also on the list, Lords of the Fallen and Badlands plus Vita game Amnesia: Memories among them, but it’s a fantastic opportunity to either get on board or relive an incredible adventure. Given Sony are increasing the price of Plus in some countries, at least they are offering quality content for the cost associated with it. For comparisons sake, Xbox Live Gold players will be able to play Earthlock (which we mentioned the other week), Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, plus backwards compatible games Mirror’s Edge and Forza Horizon.
