Tactical RPG and Power Rangers love child Chroma Squad will be hitting consoles next year, as confirmed by new publisher Bandai Namco.
Having originally hit the PC back in 2015 thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign, Chroma Squad brings together a love of the Saban produced super hero franchise with a little tongue in cheek action, as you play a group of former stunt performers who branch off to create their own TV show, with strange and amusing consequences.
Chiptunes and 16-bit visuals accompany the action that should appeal to RPG lovers and indeed fans of the show, which itself is in the midst of an upgrade with a new movie next year. I’ve been playing a lot of Fire Emblem lately, so it sounds like fun to me, especially since I grew into my teens watching the original Power Rangers.
Chroma Squad will hit PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and PS Vita in early 2017, published by Bandai Namco and created by Brazil’s Behold Studios. You can also find out at its current home on Steam.
