You may recall Tim’s recent review of Inversus, the largely black and white (with a dash of red) puzzle experience that’s “something special and (a) great time to play solo or with friends with a high replay-ability.” The good news is, developer Ryan Juckett is set to release the first major update to both Steam/PC players and PS4 owners, adding a few layers of colour to the established escapades.

Among the additions, there’s no a ton of said new colour palettes (as the above video shows), along with 250 emotes, leaderboards and a persistent levelling system. The different colour schemes lends a unique new level of charm, I’m quite fond of the blue on black and white combination myself, though the subtle reference to the old green shades of the Game Boy caught my eye as well. It’s a free update so if you own Inversus, definitely check back in on Steam and get to downloading. The updates should arrive with the PS4 version soon too, if not already. Hopefully it’s not the only update to grace the game as it expands its fan base.
