Lara Croft turned 20 this year. That’s practically senior citizen in gaming years. To celebrate, Prima Games are publishing 20 Year of Tomb Raider, a hardcover encyclopaedia that explores the history of the groundbreaking franchise.
The book will include 360 pages of previously unpublished images, lore and characters, interviews with the developers and studios that had a hand in making the games in the Tomb Raider franchise. The films, comics and collectables will all be featured. There’s even content for cosplayers.
20 Years of Tomb Raider is written by Meagan Marie, a writer with a long history in game journalism and is currently Senior Community Manager at Crystal Dynamics. The book is set to be published on October 25th, 2016.
Lara Croft made her first appearance way back in 1996 with PS1 classic Tomb Raider, developed by Core Design. Lara’s also returning to the cinema in 2018 with a new film inspired by the 2013 game/reboot. Hopefully it will be as good as that game. Ex Machina’s Alicia Vikander will play Lara. Feast your eyes on some of the book’s pages below.
