Credit to Psyonix. It would be so easy to sit on your hands and watch the eSports scene expand without doing a thing, but the studio are mad keen on adding new and exciting ways to play Rocket League, and the latest addition looks crazy.
Dropshot has a hexagonal play field split into two, with both teams trying to shoot the ball down into the ground to open up the hex shaped pieces below in order to score. It’s one of the first modes that isn’t specifically based on traditional field of play, if anything it sounds like a Rocket League spin on Pong or Breakout.
There’s a bunch of Easter related goodies included in the latest update too, but Dropshot should appeal to those looking for something a little different to play, or at least a little more variety between modes. Hopefully it isn’t the last time Psyonix changes things up.
As is traditional, you can download Dropshot as part of the latest free update from today.
